Blog site ~ I'm posting
regularly on my blog, A
Writer Afoot. Come on over!
awriterafoot.com

Dear Reader,
I am absolutely delighted to let you know that Ruth Wind
has been very busy
the past two years to get this trilogy about three sisters
together for you.trilogy begins with ,
about Juliet
Rousseau, and continues with Desdemona Rousseau in April,
and the youngest
sister Miranda in July. All three are written and ready to
go, and I'm very
happy to unveil the first in the group. Juliet is a mighty
soul, but even
the mighty are sometimes wounded.
So many readers were disappointed when I turned my energies
to writing
women's fiction, but it was never my intention to give up
romances
completely--there was just a lot going on in my life and I
had less time to
write than I had in previous years.
Happily, I've now worked out a routine which allows me time
to write both women's fiction and romances (and even a novella
here and there - look for a new collection in April) and will
be offering both new Barbara Samuel and Ruth Wind titles on
a regular basis.
Look for
October 1. As always, I love to hear from readers. For regular
conversations with Ruth Wind, email me at

Reissue:
Novella collection
Jo Beverly, Mary Jo Putney, Karen Harbaugh, and Barbara Samuel
One of my favorite collections, born out of a chance comment
Jo Beverly made about the appeal of Georgian rakes (and she
does know how to write heroes!) The next thing you know, I
was taking a shower and thinking of the Love Talker, an Irish
legend about a faery with a weakness for mortal women - a
rake made all the more dangerous by his magic.
If magic and novellas are your pleasure, you’ll also
enjoy our collection about dragons, coming in April, 2007.

Everyone seems quite surprised that I'd turn my hand toward
the Bombshell line, and I had to laugh when I kept getting
emails asking, "Is it true..:
It's true. I've written chases and mysteries quite a few
times (Light of Day, Breaking the Rules, For Christmas Forever),
and everyone knows my characters and story lines have had
a little more edge than was traditional for romance. What
is less well known is that one of my most beloved editors
at Silhouette, Lynda Curnyn, was instrumental in getting the
Bombshell line in motion, and from the first time she mentioned
it, I knew I'd have to write some action adventure babes.
So I am. Look for COUNTDOWN in April, part of the Athena
Force continuity.
After that will be a book tentatively entiltled A TALENT
FOR TROUBLE, about Sylvie Montague, daughter of a Formula
One race car driver. Sylvie's passion and expertise for rare
gems has led someone to drop a rare, cursed diamond into her
bag-and she's going to have to find out who is-before one
of her pursuers succeeds in killing her. Worse, she doesn't
know who is the enemy-is it Paul Maigny, a man she's adored
since childhood? Or Luca Colescui, the Romanian thief who
has thrown himself on Sylvie's mercy?

And for those who'd rather have some juicy romances without
all the mayhem, look for a trilogy of Intimate Moments about
Mariposa, a southern Colorado ski town, starting sometime
next year. Check back for more details.
